*Please make sure your child brings a backpack to school each day. It would be great if you could also provide the following items for your student:

Student Supply List

1 pair of “over or on ear” headphones (This will be your child’s personal pair of
headphones. Please do not send ear bud headphones. If you are unable to send them, we do have
some available that are for communal use of all third graders.)

2 - 24 count packages of Crayola Crayons (Please, no bigger count size, 24 count packages are the right size for storage.)

1 package of Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils (I know these are a little more expensive than regular colored pencils; but, I am requesting the twistable because, in the past my students have gone through several very expensive electric pencil sharpeners trying to sharpen colored pencils. The hand held sharpeners are messy, waste a lot of time, become a distraction, and often don’t work. The other third grade ALL teachers in the district have had the same issues and said that the twistables solve the problem. They request twistable crayons as well.)

1 - school/pencil box (about 8.5" x 5.5" size)

20 mechanical pencils (0.7mm lead, any smaller breaks too easily)

1 - 7.625 oz. bottle of Elmer's Glue (This does not need to be labeled with your student’s name. We create a classroom set.)

4– Glue sticks

1  - plastic pocket folder (Your child will use this all year as a homework folder.  The plastic folders work very well.)

Old adult-sized t-shirt (This will be used as a paint shirt.)

1 - 1 ½“ View 3-ring Binder  (Please make sure to get the “view” binder with the plastic sleeve around the outside.  This will be used for a creative writing / student work portfolio and it must be 1 ½” to hold everything.

25 sheet protectors (These can go in the binder.)

2 – College Ruled Composition Books (These 9 ¾” x 7 ½“ writing books will be used for personal and academic journals.  It would be very helpful if you could provide the actual composition notebooks instead of the spiral notebooks.)

 Suggested Donation

*In third grade ALL it is our goal to learn and achieve in a variety of ways. Any donation you can give toward this effort will be greatly appreciated. A suggested amount, district wide, for ALL is $40, but not required. This money will cover the cost of classroom materials, art supplies, recess equipment, field trips, and special projects. You may donate by making a check out to Foothill. Please return the check to me so I can make sure it gets placed in the proper school account.

*The following items are used throughout the year. Thank you very much for all you contribute to make our class the best it can be!
